7 Habits to ‘Gain Respect’ in a Group

Respect is one thing that we expect and want from every person in our group. This will not comes to you by just ‘Waiting’, you have to gain by your nature and attitude. Everyone wants to be favorite of their group but how can you do that, here are few habits to gain respect that need to follow.

1. Humbleness

You know where you stand in your career or life but showing it of is not a nature of a humble person, it can upset people or may be hurt their self-esteem. A humble person always appreciates others and be sweet with them. The talk with people in a normal way and don’t let them feel that you are arrogant or something.

Proper posture sends a positive message since 90% of all communication occurs through body language and how you carry yourself.

Your body language can say a lot about your personality and your attitude. Don’t look over-confident or over shy, keep eye contact with a little and sweet smile. This represents that you like and respect them.

3. Talk Carefully

After body language, you need to remember that how important your way of talking is? Your reflects your personality and you need to be extra careful in this department. This habit can make you the part of the group or not. Everyone likes people who are soft-spoken, truthful and have a good sense of humor.

Be real, don’t be fake. Remove two sided mask from your face. Life has no retake and it is your personality on stake, so show everyone what you intake before it is damn too late.

Respect is one thing that can be gain by giving. Respect other’s opinions, their words is you expect the same from other side too. No matter how bad someone is behaving with you, you need to calm down and give them positive thoughts.

If someone in a group is doing badly to you, you should be good to them, soon they will realize that they were wrong, but you still behave well and finally they will change too.

6. Be an Open-Minded Person

You can’t gain someone’s respect until you stop judging people and don’t develop a open mind towards others. Every single person in this world has their different opinions and you can’t get along with people until you’re ready to accept their different point of views.

7. Listen Properly

Listening is the capability that can’t handle by everyone. But who learn to handle can rule on many hearts.

If someone is speaking, let them complete before interrupting, it coveys the negative impact on others. People like those who listen more than speak. So if someone is saying something, let them complete, then think and at last speak.
