Advice you would give to Anyone: Each year passes by with the blink of an eye. Life happens so fast. We learn lessons we wish our younger selves knew.
Everyone gets drilled with failure and stress. Here are some things I’ve discovered about life, the world, and its inhabitants by this point in my short time on earth.
1. Love your family.
You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them. (Desmond Tutu)
I realized that without the support of my family I wouldn’t be able to survive to be honest. Without their boost, I won’t be the person that I am today. They will always be there so don’t you forget that they come first before everything else. Having a good family life is essential. Therefore this is the best advice you would give to anyone.
2. Shit happens.
We all know that life can’t be fair sometimes, but that’s okay. During my first years, I thought all my hard work would turn me into a smart guy with a high SGPA. Sometimes my professors didn’t even look into my ideas or papers that I would work for whole semesters to finish, and that hurt to be honest because I felt like I did nothing. I felt all my hard work was just gone in a second.
Every one of us got a different type of shit that we handle, but we will be alright in the end. It’s just a matter of process.
3. Mental Health Is Important.
During my first year of college life, along with the academics, I was so hampered with extracurricular activities and stuff other than academics. I was totally blank about my career. Later I met some senior students of my college and asked for help. They took me out of this stressed condition and made me mentally strong enough to face other situations too.
So, please take care of your mental health because it’s a massive part of your whole success story.
4. Never leave your friends.
Never leave a friend behind. Friends are all we have to get us through this life–and they are the only things from this world that we could hope to see in the next.
Having a best friend is the most important thing in life, as they are the ones with whom you will share all your joy, sorrows and some very private secrets.
5. Always be who you are.
One fact about me is that I wanted to do so many things in my life. I used to imagine myself in so many different personalities, and I was more into embracing different souls without realizing that I almost lose myself because I wanted to be everything.
I always thought that I must be doing something but sometimes being me is just enough. So, yeah be you. You can fit in any space you see yourself in.
6. Be fearless.
I can’t even count the number of times where people told me not to be afraid of doing things outside of my comfort zone. I was like it’s not important to do things that won’t make me comfortable as a person.
The most important advice you would give to anyone is to Think about fear. How can you improve without doing something new in your life? We need that jump to new levels in our life because without it we will never grow. All that does it take to be better is to have a fearless spirit!
